project-Improving Access to Provide Safe and Hygienic Sanitation Facilities in Urban and Rural India’ The project was implemented in 10 slums of Ward 58. Its main emphasis was on the hardware component of 10 Schools, 10 hand washing stations in Anganwadi centers and renovation of 5 community toilets. The 10 slums had been identified on the basis of poor accessibility to safe drinking water and unhygienic condition. Open defecation is practiced in most of the slums due to no household toilets |
