Details of Achievements

Our major activities are in digital literacy, after-school education support, promoting ICT-based enterprises for women and raising environment awareness. Our main achievement is in community mobilisation for Government of India National Digital Literacy Mission project. In both the phases of NDLM, we had crossed the targets for digital literacy much ahead of time and have been awarded for our efforts.

So the need guidance for their day-to-day study. Our initiative helps the students to continue with their study. We also run the Niharika Primary School at Ranaghat. 30 students are studying at the school. The progress has been remarkable. Students are also participating in extra-curricular activities.
CSR Fund Central 2015-2016 427800 Change Initiatives undertook Digital Literacy under Government of India National Digital Literacy Mission Project. We had set up a digital literacy centre at Mahishgote. We trained around 300 to 400 in digital literacy during this period. The training was given to one person per family in the age group of 14 to 60 years. The trainees had to give online exam at Government of India NDLM portal, managed by CSC. They were then given certificates.
CSR Fund Central 2017-2018 213900 The first phase of Government of India National Digital Litearcy Mission (NDLM) project has ended. Our centre was at Mahishgote. We enrolled 1,417 and trained 1,417. As many as 994 students gave their exams, of which 972 passed. The trainees were in the age group 14 years and 60 years. One person per family were taken up for training. The students gave their exams in Government of India portal and they also received certificates from the government.

Exams were given by 994, of which 972 passed. We trained one person per family in the age group 14 years to 60 years. Participants trained in basics of computer, internet, tablets and how to use internet through mobile phones. Online exams were held through a government portal and those who passed received certificates.
NA Overseas 2016-2017 210635 After-school remedial classes in Canning. We offer classes to 45 students. The students study from Class 1 to Class 10. They come from very poor families and their parents have not gone to school. The students are unable to get study support at home. They thus need guidance for their daily studies. Support also provided to Niharika Primary School at Ranaghat. Thirty students are studying and they are making remarakable progress. The students come to classes regularly.
NA Overseas 2016-2017 12463 Primary school at Ranaghat called Niharika Primary School, which is run by Change Initiatives. This is under our Kisholoy project. The school has thirty students and the progress has been very good. Students are attending classes regularly. They are not only studying but also participating in other co curricular activities. Teachers are als0 getting various exposure under this project to upgrade themselves.
NA Overseas 2017-2018 217422 Remedial classes for 45 students at Canning. Students are from a remote rural region and come from poor families. They are also first generation learners, and need study support at home. Apart from teaching, we provide books and tiffin to the students. Students come from Class 1 to Class 10. With the support they are able to continue their studies. Support also given to 30 students at Ranaghat to the students of Niharika Primary School. Books and tiffin are provided to the students.

CSR Fund Central 2017-2018 424347 The second phase of our digital literacy programme started. Our target was to enroll 1,250 to our digital litearcy mission programme. The centre was set up at Muchibajar, near Ultadanga. We also set up a small library, where trainees could upgrade themselves. Till March, we trained almost 400 people in digital litearcy. The students were taught basics of computer and internet, and how to handle the internet on mobile phone and computer. We followed government curriculum for the project,
NA Overseas 2018-2019 1055600 Project to mentor women undergraduate students studying science, technology, engineering and mathematics, called STEM. Change Initiatives will mentor around 25 women studying in Kolkata colleges. Mentoring is in leadership, self awareness, career path and resilience. Programme supported by American Centre, Kolkata. Students should carry on with their studies.
CSR Fund Central 2018-2019 990143 Digital literacy for people in the age group 14 years to 60 years. Till October, 1204 students have been enrolled. Training has been provided to 1204 students. Exams have been held for 1082, while 1082 have passed. The trainees learned the basics of computer, internet. mobiles and tablets. The aim is to ensure they can apply the internet in their day to day lives. The students gave their exams online. They also received certificates. The training centre was at Muchibajar, Kolkata.

Their parents are not literate and cannot provide any study support. The initiative gives them an opportunity to study. The students study from Class 1 to Class 10. Support to Niharika Primary School at Ranaghat. There are 30 students in the school. Progress has been remarkable. The students not only study but also participate in extra curricular activities.
American Embassy Overseas 2019-2020 2102800 Mentoring 25 science students from Guahati colleges to build sustainable career in STEM.
NA Central 2019-2020 1375000 Digital literacy training to 1,250 in Kolkata in the age group 14-60.. Centre at Beliaghata. Trainees learned basics of internet, email, social media at the training centre. After that they give an online exams.
